Physical Education class is sometimes the only physical activity students get throughout the day. Did you know that children today spend a total of 7.5 hours in front of a screen? OR that only 1 in 3 children are active every day? Physical activity is so important and healthy lifestyles are created at an early age.
Check out my webpage for some interesting links about making healthy choices.

Also take time read about physical activity guidelines from the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition.

Fall is upon us!!
Both the calendar and the weather are telling us its finally fall... Just as a reminder please bring warm clothes because we do intend to go outside for P.E whenever possible. Also remember it is nice to have a spare pair of socks, just in case they get wet outside.
Intermediate P.E (4th-6th grade):
We are currently in the heart of our football unit. Passing, catching, centering, and even developing the idea of offense and defense. In the coming days, we will move into small group football games to expand on all the football skills and concepts.
Primary P.E (K-3rd grade)
Throwing and catching have taken up much of our time over the last week as we continue to develop hand-eye coordination. Some groups have been using bean bags while others have used soft dodgeballs and even footballs.
Congrats to all students as we completed our mile/half mile run last week. Great job!!! All students will be completing the remaining physical fitness tests over the next couple weeks.
Stay active:)
